The Comically Impaired Return for a Night of Laughter to Benefit Local Actor Jamey Stone

Wilmington's oldest improv troupe celebrates 33 years of comedy with a special fundraising performance!

Get ready for an evening of outrageous comedy, quick wit, and unpredictable hilarity as The Comically Impaired, Wilmington's oldest improv troupe, takes the stage for a special performance benefiting local actor Jamey Stone, who is currently battling brain cancer.

Now celebrating their 33rd year of making Wilmington audiences laugh, The Comically Impaired have spent more than three decades proving that some of the funniest moments in theatre happen when nobody knows what's coming next!

Armed with nothing but their imaginations, lightning-fast reflexes, and suggestions from the audience, the troupe creates scenes, characters, and situations entirely on the spot. No scripts, no rehearsed punchlines, and absolutely no guarantees of good behavior! With humor that occasionally ventures into R-rated territory, this is improv comedy for grown-ups who appreciate the unexpected.

But behind the laughter is a heartfelt purpose.

Jamey Stone, a familiar face in Wilmington's theatre community, is facing a difficult battle with brain cancer. Having already undergone surgery, Jamey now faces six weeks of radiation treatment followed by chemotherapy. The Comically Impaired are coming together to support a fellow performer during this challenging time, turning an evening of laughter into an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

It's comedy for a cause, and every ticket helps.

Join The Comically Impaired for a night when the audience helps write the show, anything can happen, and the biggest laughs come with an even bigger heart.

Come ready to laugh. Leave knowing you've helped one of Wilmington's own.
