Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience

Rock Legends: An Audience Customized Rock Concert

Part rock concert…part rock tribute…all rock n’ roll. Rock Legends combines all of the elements to create a show where the audience is given the opportunity to vote through the power of their applause for the songs and music they want to hear. Journey from the beginning of rock n’ roll in the 50’s, to the psychedelic sounds of the 60’s, hit the groove of the 70’s, and even dabble in the music of the 80’s.

Dusan Tynek Dance Theatre

Jason Marsalis Vibes Quartet

The youngest member of the New Orleans first family of jazz, Jason Marsalis showed from an early age he had what it took to be great. With each passing year Jason Marsalis continues to develop as a composer and performer. His most recent recording, “In a World of Mallets,” Marsalis leads from the vibraphone bringing his unique approach to jazz to the Mainstage at Thalian Hall.

Shana Tucker: ChamberSoul

Back by popular demand, Shana Tucker is a singer, songwriter and cellist who should not be missed. Her self-described ChamberSoul style of music is a sultry pastiche of acoustic pop and soulful, jazz-influenced contemporary folk. Her well-crafted lyrics and supreme vocal control give her performance a satisfying blend of humor and gravity.

Swing'n The Holidays Feat. The Jive Aces with Special Guests The Satin Dollz

The United Kingdom’s number one jive and swing band bring a holiday spectacular to the Mainstage. Known for their high energy Jump Jive music, the Jive Aces performed for Her Majesty the Queen as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and for the London Olympics. Ballet for Young Audiences: Cinderella

This enchanting adaptation of an iconic fairy tale tells the story of Cinderella, a young woman forced into servitude by her evil stepmother. This kid-friendly (and husband-friendly) abbreviated version of the classic tale features talented dancers, exquisite scenery, and beautiful costumes. Ballet for Young Audiences: The Nutcracker

This sixty-minute narrated version of the classic Christmas tale tells the story of a young girl named Clara. With the help of her godfather, a mysterious clockmaker, she is transported to a magical realm where she journeys through the land of sweets, witnesses a daring battle, and meets the Sugar Plum Fairy. The Theatre Exchange’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol transports the timeless story of Christmas redemption from London to a depression era “Hooverville” on the outskirts of St. Louis. Actor, historian and THCPA Executive Director, Tony Rivenbark, will once again bring Ebenezer Scrooge to life in the intimate setting of the Stein Theatre at Thalian Hall.

New Year’s Eve Gala Featuring the Broadway show Memphis

Susan Werner

Pied Piper Theatre: Bug Story

This year’s Pied Piper production, Bug Story, is a beautiful musical written by Steve Cooper that explores a garden full of insect friends. The bug society reflects many of the issues faced by children today including cliques, friendship and amazing transformations. Pied Piper Theatre features local talent and is presented each year to every first and second grade child in New Hanover County.

The Jones Family Singers

Flipside: The Patti Page Story

Thalian Hall brings professional touring theatre back to the Mainstage with Flipside: The Patti Page Story. Flipside is a new “jukebox musical” about Oklahoma’s own Singing Rage, Miss Patti Page that has garnered eighteen Kennedy Center Awards . Patti Page was the highest selling female recording artist of the 1950’s with TV shows on all three major networks… and this is her tale. This show offers a personal spin on Patti Page’s own Cinderella-story.

Cameron Carpenter

Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble consists of eight brothers from the south side of Chicago, all sons of jazz legend Phil Cohran. Busking, they brought together their jazz roots with their hip hop sensibility and made the move to NYC. After playing out relentlessly, including gigs with Erykah Badu and some particularly incendiary shows in Europe, they have come to be known as one of the hottest and most individual bands around.

Annie Moses Band: Rhapsody in Bluegrass
